A magical walk through a winter wonderland as seasonal lanterns light up Wakehurst after dark.
Glow Wild is a spellbinding night-time experience that all ages will adore. Now in its ninth year, Wakehurst’s winter lantern trail is full of surprises, with trees, ponds and forest floors brought to life by hundreds of handmade lanterns and torches of fire.

Stunning festive spectacle
‘Had heard great things about Glow Wild and as always sells out I bought tickets weeks in advance. The night we went it was lashing it down and we picked our way through huge puddles and got soaked through to the skin. The Glow Wild experience is so beautiful, and the atmosphere so magical it didn’t matter a bit about our sodden disposition. My 8 year old, not generally a fan of getting cold and soaked, declared it was “a billion percent worth getting wet for” and would have happily done another lap of the route. It’s hard to describe the experience and I actually think it’s better not to have too much info beforehand. It felt like wandering through a child’s wonderful dream. It has most definitely created a charming winter family memory unlike any other.’
