Are you a finance and accounting professional passionate about art, culture, and community? Same Sky, an artist-led community and celebratory arts charity, is seeking a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. This is an incredible opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of a vibrant organisation that delivers over 30 creative projects annually, engaging communities and celebrating individual creativity.
At Same Sky, we specialise in delivering transformative arts experiences that connect people to their communities and sense of place. From the iconic Burning the Clocks winter solstice celebration in Brighton to the Children’s Parade opening Brighton Festival, and events like Glow Wild at Wakehurst with audiences exceeding 30,000, our work spans festivals, multicultural celebrations, and educational settings across the region.
As Treasurer, you will contribute to the strategic growth of Same Sky, ensuring the organisation’s financial health and sustainability while helping to build exciting new partnerships locally and regionally. We’re looking for someone who:
This is a voluntary role. You will attend five board meetings per year (typically on weekday evenings in central Brighton, with virtual attendance options). With an additional 1 hour per month commitment to support good governance, review and checks on financial matters.
