Project
Created by Same Sky working with Regent High School and Quiet Down There.
ITV today (15 June) revealed their latest community created ident created by Same Sky with Students from Regent School. This ident was created on 13th March just before the lockdown and has been waiting to be revealed!! One of a series of community inspired and created idents our version used willow and tissue to create small lanterns that came together to make the logo.
We visited the school earlier in the year to meet the students and share some simple lantern making skills. Then they all got back together in Park Royal to make the logo and bring it to life. It was an exciting day if delivered in very unusual times, students got to meet T.V. and film professionals, technicians and directors.
John Varah, Same Sky artistic director, said: “We are so happy to have been able to work with such lovely Students and teachers from such a great school. The lantern is a great medium to make and share skills and stories.”
The ident will accompany itv programmes all this week 15 to 21 June with a set of 5 different complimentary versions. These and the process and story of their creation will also be available to see at ITV creates
