Otherworld is an inclusive and participatory arts programme combining immersive theatre and play experiences, interactive cinema experience, arts workshops as well as play skills training programmes.
Otherworld has been devised for mixed age groups and is specifically designed to work for different levels of disability as well as being equally accessible to all young people and their families and friends. All participants are able to share in creative experiences and fun through activities that are participatory and co-creative. Otherworld is a vehicle for personal transformation, connection and community.
During the three years Otherworld was able to run for, we has toured across Sussex with participants attending from across the South East. We work closely with families, schools and colleges, respite care, inclusive play groups, residential units, children’s homes, family associations, and special interest groups across the board.
Otherworld is an exciting, artistic collaboration involving Same Sky and Different Planet Arts, it was generously funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund. We’re hoping to bring otherworld back with new stories soon.
